She particularly admired Henriette Reni\u00e9, for being a prominent composer at a time when such a career for women was scarce. Our partners in Israel are holding a memorial concert to Ayelet on February 12th. This will feature several works by female composers, and the world premiere of a &#8216;Passages&#8217;, a new composition commissioned in Ayelet&#8217;s memory from Tali Glaser, harpist with the Israel Philharmonic. \u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_22044\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 150px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.camac-harps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2018\/01\/ayeletkonieczny.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-22044\" src=\"https:\/\/www.camac-harps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2018\/01\/ayeletkonieczny-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ayelet Konieczny<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We have ten copies of &#8216;Passages&#8217; available free of charge to the first people who write in to harpblog@camac-harps.com with their postal addresses. These will be sent on February 12th as we all remember Ayelet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Tali Glaser on &#8216;Passages&#8217;.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8221; &#8216;Passages&#8217; was composed in memory of Ayelet, a remarkable young Israeli who passed away at the early age of 29.\u00a0 I will be forever grateful to her family for honoring me with the unique experience of composing this work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. Desert Dawn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This movement is based on a repetitive beat which appears in different rhythmical patterns throughout the piece. These rhythms recall the energy of new life, childhood and youth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the desert, the sun rises in its full glory into an open space where the basic needs for life are imperative \u2013 water, shelter, compassion, optimism and love.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Passages<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As we experience different chapters in our life, we struggle through heavy emotions and flow through light ones. After each \u201cpassage\u201d we see the same world from a new perspective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3.
