\"Marcel<\/a>At the Camac Festival in Nice<\/a> last October, we were lucky enough to experience an exceptional concert of unpublished works by Marcel Tournier. This came about thanks to Agn\u00e8s B\u00e9rard, harp professor at the Conservatoire national \u00e0 rayonnement r\u00e9gional de Nice Pierre Cochereau.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Agn\u00e8s is Jacqueline Borot\u2019s great-niece; Borot was, of course, one of Tournier\u2019s most distinguished students. She succeeded him as Professor at the Paris Conservatoire, and inherited both his archive and his harp, \u201cSidonie\u201d.\u00a0 Agn\u00e8s inherited these from her great-aunt in turn, and released the scores to Lemoine so that they can now be published.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two volumes of \u201cImages\u201d are now available, arranged by Tournier himself for harp and string quintet! Of course, they are the latest proud additions to the range of scores available from the Camac webshop.\u00a0 Volume 1<\/a> contains ‘Clair de lune sur l’\u00e9tang du parc’ from Images Suite N\u00b0 1<\/em>, and ‘Les \u00c2nesses grises sur la route d’El Azib’ and ‘Danseuse \u00e0 la fontaine d’A\u00efn Draham’ from Suite N\u00b0 3<\/em>. Volume 2<\/a> continues the 3rd Suite with ‘Soir de f\u00eate \u00e0 Sedjenane’, and the fiery ‘La danse du Moujik’ from Suite N\u00b0 4<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
