We have just returned from our recent Acad\u00e9mie Camac 2025 in the stunning Proven\u00e7al region! This year, we welcomed six talented young harpists from France, Wales, Singapore, and Lithuania, all aged 18-30, to immerse themselves in the art of harp playing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to our generous hosts, we were able to offer ideal conditions for these artists to enhance their skills through peaceful practice, delicious meals together, invigorating walks, and informal concert soir\u00e9es. Of course, the most crucial aspect was undeniably the invaluable daily harp lessons from Isabelle Moretti. As a master teacher, her expertise not only guided each participant’s learning but was also the essential ingredient for the week’s success.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Isabelle\u2019s guidance, the beautiful surroundings of the French countryside played a significant role in nurturing creativity and inspiration. Nestled in this idyllic landscape, the studio (equipped with a magnificent Camac harp) offered a perfect setting for lessons, while the warmth of our hosts\u2019 home provided a comforting backdrop. Every aspect of the environment contributed to a sense of both tranquillity and of focus, crucial for artistic growth. This setting cements the identity of the Acad\u00e9mie Camac as a retreat where participants come to learn and grow at their own pace, free from the usual distractions of daily life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The days were structured yet flexible, allowing each participant to engage deeply with the harp. Whether it was diving into their pieces during individual practice sessions or collaborating in group discussions about technique and artistry, the week was filled with potential for growth. Evening gatherings transformed the atmosphere into one of camaraderie and celebration as students shared their progress and performed for one another. These informal concert soir\u00e9es boosted their confidence and fostered a supportive community among the young musicians.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Camac, we are committed to playing our part in fostering the futures of young musicians, and it was heartening to witness the remarkable progress made in just one week.
