Harpes au Max<\/a> returns for its fourth edition, co-hosted with the civic authorities, (Communaut\u00e9 de communes du Pays d\u2019Ancenis) and town of Ancenis-Saint-G\u00e9r\u00e9on! Over four exciting days in May, the sound of the harp will resonate throughout the town and its nearby villages and community centres. This festival not only celebrates music but reflects our desire to give back to the local community.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We provide the harps, while Camac President Jakez Fran\u00e7ois oversees artistic direction. However, the festival’s true heart lies<\/span>with the COMPA and the town of Ancenis- Saint- G\u00e9r\u00e9on. As Harpes au Max launches its fifth edition, they continue to impress us with their growing passion for the harp. The entire community comes together for this spectacular long weekend, including our \u201cfront of house” team from harp events worldwide, our master craftsmen and their families, our network of distributors, and most importantly, the supportive and enthusiastic public.<\/p>\n

Audiences can expect a vibrant array of performances featuring renowned artists from classical music, jazz, Celtic traditions, and harps from diverse cultures worldwide. A series of free public concerts also fosters an inclusive atmosphere for all attendees. There is also the chance to experience one of the festival\u2019s most unique attractions, the mystery tour, where attendees can board a bus and enjoy two surprise concerts in more unusual locations in the Pays d’ Ancenis.<\/span><\/p>\n

What exciting plans await in 2025? There is nearly too much to list! Exciting performances will include jazz from eminent artists like Evelyn Huber and Rossitsza Milevska, the unique duo of Noemi von Felten and singer, Stephan Eicher, Venezuelan music from Raider Alvarado (llanera harp) and his trio Horizontes. There will also be cross-cultural events featuring harp and dance (with Sarah Vaumourin), harp and circus (Christine and Thierry Lutz), and harp and recitation ( Philippe Math\u00e9, actor-reader, and Fran\u00e7ois Pernel, harpist). On the classical side, contributions will come from the harp sextet, Hexarpa, recitals by the rising generation of French harpists (Rose Pollier- Meliodon and Anne- Sophie Pannetier), and an unmissable journey through fairytales and darker stories with Sylvain Blassel, the Quatuor Liger, and Philippe Math\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is truly something for every musical taste and an unmissable opportunity for music and togetherness in the heart of the region we call home.<\/span><\/p>\n
