As of today, January 5, 2026, applications are now open for the ‘Dasson an Delenn’ Celtic harp competition!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Organised by Camac, the competition is designed for harp students under 21 of any nationality. It signals our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation and admiration for the Celtic harp in all its guises.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whereas our Camac Trophy, awarded each year as part of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, recognises lever harpists at the highest professional level, we created the event in 2014 to provide opportunities to budding lever harpists to demonstrate their talent. It is a chance to perform publicly before a distinguished panel, showcasing repertoire for the lever harp\u2014whether original compositions or arrangements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The competition features four categories based on age and skill level, from novice players to aspiring professional soloists. Participants can register for multiple categories if they wish, with no minimum age requirement.<\/span><\/p>\n

More than the chance to compete, the competition offers something arguably even more important: a convivial, friendly atmosphere in which to meet, forge new friendships, and cultivate the essential networks that sustain musical life at every level.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, such a happening does not exist in a vacuum. We therefore wish to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to\u00a0 the management and staff of the Claude Debussy Conservatory of Music in Saint-Malo for their warm welcome, harp teacher Anne Le Signor for her valuable advice, the City of Saint-Malo for their support, and our partners Savarez strings, Galli strings, and Ischell microphones.<\/span><\/p>\n
