Letters of healing and self-discovery: Catrin Finch and “Notes to Self”

27 February 2026 marks the release of a remarkable new collection of music from Catrin Finch, Notes to Self. Her first album of solo compositions in a decade, this work adopts a markedly personal tone, inviting us into an intimate, emotional, yet uplifting world. Each track on the album has been composed for Katy, her 13-year-old self (Katy is her family nickname), and each with an accompanying letter, in which Catrin writes to her younger self and weaves together experiences and meditations and explores themes of vulnerability and transformation.Read more…

“An ode to joy and nostalgia”: Harkan at the Espace Camac

Harkan is a trio led by renowned French harpist Maïa Darmé, featuring Tunisian kanun player Mohamed-Amine Kalaï and Iranian Kurdish percussionist Ebrahim Ahmadi (daf, dayereh, and bendir).  Harkan blends sensuous compositions with exhilarating dances and balances the musical influences of East and West. From New York to Cardiff: The Debut album from the Transatlantic Hot Club !

The Transatlantic Hot Club has long been a favourite with us at Camac. Formed in the balmy climes of the Caribbean, the group was founded by  Ben Creighton-Griffiths (harp) and Adrien Chevalier (Violin) in 2013, Over two days, the group set up camp in Zoot Studios, Paris, and 'From New York to Cardiff' was born.
