Dasson an Delenn 2026: The Results are in!

April 2, 2026

“Dasson an Delenn” is a unique competition for young lever harpists. Held every two years in a different town in Brittany, our home region, it showcases the new generation of musicians specialising in the Celtic harp.
For the 2026 edition, we were delighted to be hosted by the Saint-Malo Conservatoire de Musique. Professor Anne Le Signor and her entire team gave us a particularly warm welcome, combining professionalism with exemplary organisation. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the City of Saint-Malo, as well as to our partners and sponsors, Savarez, Galli Strings and Ischell, for their invaluable support and generosity in providing the prizes.
The name of the competition, which means ‘the resonance of the harp’ in Breton, perfectly reflects the spirit of this event: to provide a platform for harpists under the age of 21, in a setting that is both demanding and supportive. Contestants are encouraged to develop their musical personality through varied programmes, blending tradition and creativity around the Celtic harp.
The set repertoire created a dialogue between Breton traditions and the classical repertoire. Among the pieces featured were ‘An Dro’ (P.-Y. Moign), arranged by Anne Le Signor, ‘La Barbière’ (mazurka), arranged by Kevin Le Pennec, as well as more demanding works by Vivaldi and Marcel Tournier.
As in any high-quality competition, the richness of the event relies largely on the rigour and fairness of the jury. Tasked with rigorously evaluating the performances whilst supporting the young artists with constructive feedback, the jury comprised Anna Le Signor (chair), Anne Auffret, Lina Bellard, François Pernel and Quentin Vestur.
We were particularly pleased to note that each category was not limited to the awarding of the top three prizes, but also included special mentions, reflecting the diversity of talent and musical personalities on display.
We extend our warmest congratulations to all the winners:
