  • Harpes au Max returns for its fourth edition, organised by the Communauté de communes du Pays d’Ancenis, the town of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon and Camac Harps! There is truly something for every musical taste and an unmissable opportunity for music and togetherness in the heart of the region we call home.

What exciting plans await in 2025? There is nearly too much to list!

Exciting performances will include jazz from eminent artists like Evelyn Huber and Rossitsza Milevska, the unique duo of Noemi von Felten and singer, Stephen Eicher, Venezuelan music from Raider Alvarado (llanera harp) and his trio, Horizontes. There will also be cross-cultural events featuring harp and dance (with Sarah Vaumourin), harp and circus ((Telenn Phare Company accompanied by Christine and Thierry Lutz), and harp and recitation ( Philippe Mathé, actor-reader, and François Pernel, harpist). On the classical side, contributions will come from the harp sextet, Hexarpa, recitals by the rising generation of French harpists (Rose Pollier- Meliodon and Anne- Sophie Pannetier), and an unmissable journey through fairytales and darker stories with Sylvain Blassel, the Quatuor Liger, and Philippe Mathé.

Mark your calendars – the box office opens April 8, 2025!

    Harpes aux Max 2025
  • Harkan is a unique trio led by the renowned French harpist Maïa Darmé, with the Tunisian kanun (oriental zither) player Mohamed-Amine Kalaï, and the Iranian Kurdish percussionist Ebrahim Ahmadi (daf, dayereh, and bendir). Together, these distinguished musicians create a musical dialogue, drawing inspiration from a rich tapestry of traditional melodies, including Spanish-Andalusian, Turkish, North African, Levantine, and Greek tunes. Harkan traverses the expanse of the Mediterranean, blending sensuous compositions with exhilarating dances, notated repertoire with folk music, and harmonising the influences of East and West.

Following their remarkable debut in North Africa during the summer of 2018, the ensemble is poised to enchant European audiences. Their performances have already captivated concertgoers at festivals in Dinan, Lanton, Guîtres, Vand’Jazz, Ôrizons, the National Centre for Arab and Mediterranean Music, Hergla, La Saison Bleue, the Abdelliya Palace, the Institut Français de Tunisie, the Agora, the National Theatre of Ceuta, Casa Árabe in Madrid and Córdoba, the Maison de la Tunisie in Paris, and at the World Harp Congress.

On Saturday, 17 May at 8pm, they invite the audience of Espace Camac on an enchanting journey to distant lands.

New:  Camac is a partner of the 1%HARP association.

From now on, every ticket sold at our events will contribute in its entirety to raising funds to create a genuine network of solidarity between harpists around the world… To find out more and give your support, go to: onepercentharp.com

  • Since 1984, the Rencontres Internationales de Harpes Celtiques have been a showcase for everything that concerns the small harp. The event brings together both professional and amateur harpists, instrument makers, trainees and teachers to build a festival that is unique unto itself.

The festival celebrates every phase of harp creation in all its diversity, and there is room for everybody here, regardless of fame or status. The festival bears the worthy motto, “tradition & creation”, two principles which harmonise perfectly with the ethos of Camac.

As such, we are delighted to have a strong presence at the festival, where our instruments can be tried and played upon by all comers.  Aside from our exhibition, this season’s guest stars include Woodlands and Lauren Scott
