• This Thursday, June 9, Camac’s series of online concerts welcomes Frédéric Bougouin. The electric and the metal-strung lever harp will be centre-stage, and we’re looking forward to travelling from Ourouk to Cuba, from a Carla Bley cover to original compositions, and music written for the theatre and a dear friend. Don’t miss a wonderful musical journey, all within Frédéric’s studio in France!

  • If you follow Camac’s artistic activites in general, you may already be familiar with Tara Minton. We have supported her since 2011, when she moved from Australia to London to develop her career as a jazz musician.

We have been delighted to invite her to our festivals in Geneva and Cardiff, and to headline at our partnership with the Cambridge Jazz Festival. She has performed at iconic jazz venues throughout the United Kingdom and abroad, and will make her debut at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club on July 18.

Tara has released three fantastic albums: The Tides of Love, Please Do Not Ignore The Mermaid, and – with Ed Babar, with whom she appears for us this Thursday – Two for the Road. Our YouTube concert will broadcast music from this beautiful album, comprised of standards from the Great American Songbook and the British jazz canon.

On June 16, we invite you to sit back, relax, pour yourselves a glass of something refreshing, and enjoy what we promise will be the perfect way to begin your Thursday evening! We look forward to seeing you at 19:30, just a click of the mouse away @CamacHarpsOfficial on YouTube.

  • Trio Jenlis is a family of musicians: Belgian harpist Héloïse De Jenlis, her sister Mathilde (violin), and her brother Axel (cello). Together, they are bringing this lovely chamber music combination to wider audiences.

We’re happy to announce that one of these wider audiences will be…us!, coming up this week on YouTube. Trio Jenlis will perform a varied programme of their own arrangements of well-loved classics, original repertoire for the ensemble, and a movement from one of their commissions: Karol Beffa’s Soleil Noir.

Speaking of videos: French speakers can enjoy this presentation of Trio Jenlis on Belgium’s Musiq3. Don’t speak French? Héloïse also has a fantastic YouTube channel of her own. Her video of Debussy’s Deux Arabesques has been viewed over 5 million times, including many a visit by her Camac fanbase.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Héloïse, Mathilde, Axel, and you all to Les Jeudis de la Harpe – this Thursday, June 23, 19:30!

  • Ailie Robertson is one of Scotland’s leading harpists. Awarded LiveIreland’s ‘Female Musician of the Year’, and the prize for ‘Innovation in Traditional Music’ in the Scottish Awards for New Music, her synthesis of Scottish, Irish and contemporary harping technique into an individual style represents the realization of “otherwise unimagined possibilities for the Celtic harp”. • HarpFest VII will take place in Singapore between September 8 – 11, 2022. Rave Harps will be joined by their colleagues and co-students from Thailand and Indonesia, and guest artists from Europe too. There will be concert appearances and a masterclass with Isabelle Moretti, and we are delighted to sponsor Rossitza Milevska and Cédric Le Donne’s jazz night. The full programme ranges from harp concertos to harp ensembles, and offers some fantastic active performance opportunities.

Your HarpFest delegate pass gives you access to 6 concerts, 10 masterclasses/workshops, diverse showcases and, we promise you, an unforgettable long weekend in a beautiful setting. Register before the end of May, and enjoy your early bird discount.
